The Demon of Cliffside is a very interesting story mostly because I don't know how to classify it.It is adventure, with some mystery. Yet the main character is so... alien that you can't relate to them. The story kept me guessing and the twists were very unexpected.
The world it builds is detailed and unique. You can see how the world came to be the way it is with the physical laws it has.
I really enjoyed this story and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys their fantasy stories a bit different than usual.

Fierro doesn't disappoint with his ability to conjure surreal landscapes with words. It was an interesting tale, rife with adventure and intrigue. I simply feel it started to fall apart perhaps 80% in, with the whole alternate realm thing, and the ending seemed a bit quick. But it was well worth my time.
one of the more enjoyable alchemy books i've read. nathan does a wonderful job of conveying the perfect mix of suspense and mystery. hope there's going to be a sequel.
An excellent read for the rainy day. The main character is eccentric and compelling in their own way, and the support cast is excellent as well. Unfortunately, there are some moments that are predictable, but that seems to be the nature of the beast. Overall a very good story, despite lacking strong re-read value. A good buy.
Well written and well paced novel set in an interesting world full of alchemy. I really enjoyed the book. The main character was interesting, character development was handled well, and world building was great. Looking forward to more books by this author.

A story with a very interesting protagonist. Most of the fun of reading this came from trying to understand and predict the demons actions. The beginning offers a well thought out and detailed view of the demons history including knowledge of the town. It then moves into moves into the plot, which at first glance is similar to a typical fantasy plot, but is complicated by having a character with such strange motives warp the story to her own purposes. It took a while for the story to settle in my mind. It is enough to have you thinking for a while.
I felt it started off pretty well but as the main started gathering new power every few pages, for no great reason, the story went flat.
